Breathwork & Nature Cold Plunge with Marlee Newman

  • Sausalito Beach 85 Liberty Ship Way Sausalito, CA, 94965 United States (map)

In a world of countless supplements, conflicting nutrition advice and fancy biohacking machines.. It’s easy to forget that nature holds everything we need!

We just need to make time to reconnect. That’s what this offering is all about. Ground into the sand, breath deep, soak in the morning sun and plunge into the ocean!

This event will meet at Sausalito Beach. You’ll be guided by Marlee Newman through a 30 minute breathwork sequence designed to warm & invigorate our bodies! Then we’ll cheer each other on as we plunge into mama nature’s cleansing waters.

Post plunge we’ll towel off and enjoy a morning juice shot to jumpstart our digestive system. Leave feeling nourished, connected and ALIVE as you start your day.

  • Breath: Conscious breathing exercises can help regulate the nervous system, boost our immune systems, reduce anxiety, and improve focus and concentration throughout the day.

  • Cold plunge: Plunging into cold water helps our bodies stimulate circulation and invigorate the mind and body, acting as a natural stress reliever and promoting resilience.

  • Morning sunlight: Sun exposure, especially in the morning, can raise vitamin D levels and enhance circadian rhythms, releasing neurotransmitters like serotonin that boost our mood for the day.

Parking: you can park at Schoonmaker Point Marina (There are 7, 4 hour parking spots, just avoid the spots that say permit required!) or park near Cloudbreak/Dunphy Park and walk to meet us down the trail (8 minute walk).

Please bring two towels (one to sit on and one to dry off) along with a warm layer for the breathwork session and a bathing suit for plunge-ing. Something as simple as sitting on the sand or diving into the ocean helps reconnect us to the Earth’s natural energy, which can help neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation.

Water quality checked through the County of Marin here. Sampled biweekly from April - October. https://www.marincounty.org/depts/cd/divisions/environmental-health-services/beach-monitoring

Cost: $35 (10% off for Metta Yoga members applies automatically at checkout)
