  • Metta Yoga San Rafael 835 4th Street, Suite B San Rafael, CA 94901 (map)

Stiff neck? Tight shoulders? Weakness in the arms? Numbness or tingling in the hands?

These are signs of misalignment, repetitive stress, weakness, and poor function, which can be remedied through specific yoga and physical therapy techniques given in this workshop.

Learn how to release neck tension, stretch your shoulders properly, strengthen the upper body, and align the neck and shoulders to decrease pain and restore function and range of motion. Yoga poses, physical therapy, breath work, and meditation are included in this workshop. Each participant will also receive a neck and shoulders home practice to incorporate what they learned in the workshop.

This workshop will be 20% talk and 80% practice!

There will be ample time for questions regarding your conditions and specific needs. All levels are welcome, and modifications will be offered when needed. Knowledge, proper practice, and consistency make a healthy and strong body possible at any age! Join us for this unique workshop.

Review from a previous Workshop:

"Sienna's Neck and Shoulders Workshop, like all her workshops and classes, was extremely informative, not just about the anatomy of the body, the way it is meant to move safely, but also about all the techniques and exercises that allow the neck and shoulders to be positioned correctly for best posture. I learned many tricks and movements, specific to my body, and have been using them daily, to strengthen my upper back and shoulder muscles, and release my tops of shoulders and upper trapezius muscles, which tend to overwork and cause tension and pain in my neck! As usual, I couldn't feel more grateful for Sienna's immense knowledge and teachings." - Ani W. (Student)
